Wichtiger aber ist sein urbaner Gebrauchswert. Der Turm bildet ein integratives Element im neuen Wiener Quartier Seestadt Aspern. Nach Fertigstellung \u2013 ab 2018 \u2013 sollen dort B\u00fcros, serviced Apartments, ein Hotel und Wellness-Bereiche eingerichtet werden. Voraussetzung f\u00fcr diese Mischung ist ein innovatives Konstruktionssystem, das f\u00fcr h\u00f6chste Flexibilit\u00e4t der Nutzfl\u00e4chen sorgt: HoHo Wien zeigt im Vergleich zum reinen Holzbau die Vorz\u00fcge der Holzhybridbauweise. Aussteifende Beton-Kerne dienen der Erschlie\u00dfung. Angedockt ist die Holzbaukonstruktion f\u00fcr die offene Geb\u00e4udenutzung. \"hoho2\"<\/a>„F\u00fcr die gesamte Konstruktion werden ca. 3.600 m\u00b3 Holz verbaut, das sind 0,6 Promille des j\u00e4hrlichen \u00f6sterreichischen Holz\u00fcberschusses!
\nDie Holzbauweise spart gegen\u00fcber einer Ausf\u00fchrung in Stahlbeton rund 2.800 Tonnen CO\u2082-\u00c4quivalente ein. Das entspricht ca. 20 Millionen PKW-Kilometer oder 1.300 Jahre t\u00e4glich 40 Kilometer Autofahrt.
\nUnd, die Bauweise des HoHo Wien spart gegen\u00fcber der Ausf\u00fchrung in Stahlbeton rund 300.000 Megawattstunden Prim\u00e4renergie ein. Das entspricht einer Prim\u00e4renergieersparnis von 300.000 mWh!
