3 days straw bale introduction workshop
Introductory Workshop Straw: April 30 – May 2, 2021 or
Straw & Clay Introductory Workshop: June 4 – 6, 2021, starting Fri 12:00, ending Sunday 17:00.
Topics: History of straw bale construction, properties of straw, architectural examples, working with and working on straw bales, straw bale infill, explanation of different constructions.
Our Corona guarantee: The introductory workshops will take place in 3720 Ravelsbach, Baierdorf, but since they are also available as interactive online courses, they are guaranteed to take place online at the same time (with trainer guidance via Zoom) as scheduled, even with Corona travel or event restrictions.

Straw bale CUT+Load bearing: May 24-28, 2021, start Monday 12:00
Straw bale wrapping: June 21-26, 2021, start Monday 12:00
Straw bale CUT technique: July 12-16, 2021, start Monday 12:00
Clay/Earth base plaster: July 19-23, 2021, start Mon. 12:00 p.m.
Lime plaster: Aug. 30-Sept. 04, 2021, start Mon. 12:00 p.m.
Clay fine plaster: 6.09.-10.09.2021, start Mon. 12:00 p.m.
Interior design – decoration with natural materials: 27.09.-2.10.2021, start Monday 12:00
Contribution towards expenses (incl. food and overnight stay):
1 person: € 450,-
1 couple: € 825,- (this can also be friends)
Students and unemployed: € 375,-
Contribution to expenses (WITHOUT meals and overnight stay = 25/day):
1 person: € 325,-
1 couple: € 575,- (these can also be friends)
students and unemployed: € 250,-
Notes: Each participant will receive a confirmation of participation and an invoice at the end of the workshop. Therefore, please include your complete address as it will appear on the invoice.
Please register at asbn@baubiologie.at (Herbert Gruber, asbn): You will receive an e-mail with details and the account number of the ASBN, with the payment of the amount your workshop participation will be firmly reserved.
Cancellation: after payment of the workshop fees and thus fixed reservation, a refund of the full amount is only possible until 3 weeks before the workshop starts. In case of a later cancellation, we keep half of the paid amount. In case of cancellation from 1 week before workshop start, we keep the full amount (because we have no possibility to find a replacement).
